Biggleswade wayfinding system

Initial research found Biggleswade's current wayfinding system to be inadequate, out of date and the hidden placement of signage made for an uncoordinated and confusing system. After sending Biggleswade Town Council a formal proposal document they agreed to collaborate with me in an effort to improve the town’s wayfinding system. The planned design seeks to support visitors to the town, illustrated landmarks are included within the mapping to improve navigation and to reinforce the recognition of places. Due to a low budget I have designed a system where the council can update mapping internally; the collaboration involved myself presenting and liaising with Biggleswade Town Council. The below are only artist impressions and none of the below designs are final.
